A censer once owned by Toyotomi Hideyoshi,
called Chidori.
It’s… kawaii.
So this was what he loved.
There is a story:
Ishikawa Goemon slipped into Hideyoshi’s room one night, and the tiny plover—chidori—perched on the lid’s knob cried out. That sound gave him away.
Even the story is charming.
